The PEOPLE just being PEOPLE

A variety album crafted with the purpose of showcasing the musical range and flexibility of The People. With classic rock in mind they were able to capture a pure, warm, and raw sound similar to what you would hear in an early Zeppelin record for some tracks. Other titles on the album sound a lot more like contemporary Pop with the overall structure and feeling of Alternative Rock such as the Arctic Monkeys and artists of the like. The album "Simply The People" was recorded at a secret location using mostly analog equipment for the tracking and mixing. The newest members Justin West, and Zach Trujillo are not heard on this debut record since they joined the group a few months after the Album had already been finished recording. The tracks written by Jamie Conatser such as "Curses", 'Songbird", and "Quarter" reminisce a southern rock era with rockabilly-esque chord progressions and guitar riffs. Tracks Written by Edgar Hernandez like "Water", "Long To See You", "Gold and Light", and "Clouds" reflect a more melancholy thought process with minor scales and haunting melodies. The lyrics for "Pushing Up a Stream" were penned by drummer Nathan Ormsby. The song speaks about the turmoils of growing up in this generation as a broke 20-something who despite the financial and romantic issues is still able to find pleasure in the little details of life. Overall, "Simply The People" is an innovative milestone of the kind you haven't heard in many decades.
